Phantom Tiger Taekwondo is an ITF style Taekwondo club established in Huddersfield in 2002 by Mr Malcolm Armstrong 3rd Degree. In 2010 responsibility for instructing and running of the club passed to the current coaching team.

Run entirely by volunteers on a not for profit basis the club practice all elements of Taekwondo including patterns, free sparring, pre-set sparring, self defence, destruction, theory and fitness. In addition to the traditional elements of the art the instructors like to include additional training drawing on previous training in Judo, Ju-Jitsu and Kick Boxing. Belt grading exams typically take place 3 times per year with annual Black Belt gradings for eligible candidates.

After periods of training at Total Fitness Gym, All Saints Catholic College and Crow Lane Junior & Infants School, in February 2018 the club moved to its own custom premises at Springfield Mill. With a 224m2 fully matted dojang, 36m2 matted judo area, punch bags and fitness equipment we are able to meet all training requirements.

In addition to the training area, friends and family are welcome to relax in the chill out zone and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and snacks from the tuck shop.

The club welcomes members from age 4 and upwards through our Tykes and Taekwondo classes.

Tykes classes take place on Wednesdays from 5:30pm-6:15pm. Taekwondo classes take place on Sundays 4pm-5.30pm and Wednesdays 6.30pm-8pm. Extra training times are available for senior students on these days. In addition to these regular training sessions, extra sessions are run periodically covering specific areas such as patterns, sparring or self defence.
